What comes in a kit

Typically the steel frame (columns, rafters, bracing), purlins and sheeting rails, roof and wall cladding, flashings, fixings, doors and drawings. Foundations, the floor slab and erection are usually extra. Check what each quote includes.

Single skin or insulated

Single-skin sheeting is cheapest and fine for storage. For a heated workshop or business use, insulated composite panels stop condensation and keep running costs down.

Planning and building regulations

Most steel buildings for business use need planning permission and building regulations approval. Some suppliers provide drawings and calculations for your application. Ask when you get your quotes.
